Treads was established in 1993 to supply stair nosings and stair edgings to the commercial building sector. By supplying stair nosings and stair edgings direct to the market, we can support specifiers and flooring contractors in their quest to source the most competitively priced materials.

Treads is part of Marling Ltd. Marling has been manufacturing and supplying contract flooring for 25 years. The company’s experience has been vital in developing stair nosings with the quality and reliability that specifiers demand.

A history of Marling Ltd

Textile manufacturing has been carried out at the Marling factory in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire since 1813. In 1993 Marling started producing contract floorcoverings which were marketed under the Warlord brand. Since then many new and innovative products have been developed in both roll and tile formats. Treads’ stair nosings and stair edgings enhances this portfolio still further.
